Sophie and Tayla chose to celebrate their wedding day in a way that felt deeply personal - tying the knot at their family home in Welcome Bay, with sweeping panoramic views across Tauranga and Mount Maunganui creating the dreamiest backdrop for their summer celebration. After a week of cyclone-weather forecasts and endless rain warnings, they were gifted with perfect blue skies and sunshine, making the entire day feel even more magical.

Their vision came to life beautifully with a stunning marquee and furniture setup by Twelve Tables, transforming the property into an elegant yet relaxed space where guests could soak in the views, laugh over lawn games, and dance the evening away. From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere was full of warmth, excitement, and genuinely fun energy - something that carried right through the entire day thanks to an unforgettable bridal party who kept everyone smiling.

The ceremony, led by celebrant Sacha Quinn, was heartfelt, emotional, and wonderfully “them.” One of the most touching details was the special inclusion of their beloved cat, Chester, whose framed portrait sat proudly amongst the floral plinths at the front of the ceremony space - a surprise detail provided by Tayla that brought plenty of smiles from Sophie and the guests.

Guests were treated to incredible catering by Roam Food Caravan - and yes, the pork belly truly did melt in your mouth - while the gorgeous live acoustic set by Nel Amore created the perfect soundtrack to the afternoon and evening celebrations.
