THE VALUE OF A MOMENT IS NOT ACKNOWLEDGED UNTIL IT BECOMES A MEMORY

Client Love

"We honestly can’t thank you enough Claire, incredible images of such a special time and certainly memories we can cherish forever"

My Philosophy

I believe photography is more than just taking beautiful pictures (although I do love that part!) —it’s about preserving the feeling from a moment in your lives.

How tightly those little arms hugged you, the infectious laughter echoing through your home, that spark in their eyes when they talk about what they love.

These are the details that fade too quickly from memory.

I do what I do because I know how precious this and every season is, and how important it is to slow down and hold onto it.

FAQ

What if my partner isn't keen on a photoshoot, how do I put them at ease?

It’s not really about getting your photo taken—it’s about carving out some uninterrupted time to just be with your family, to play, explore, and connect. I hear it all the time: families are surprised by how relaxed they felt, how it didn’t feel like a “photoshoot” at all. Most of the time, they forget the camera’s even there. There’s no stiff posing, no forced smiles—just you, being yourselves. That’s where the magic happens. It’s laid-back, natural, and (honestly?) a lot of fun.

What happens if we have to cancel due to illness or weather?

If the weather is overcast we will continue with the session, moody lighting can sometimes make for the best backdrop. In the event of wet weather, I’ll wait until the day of your session to make the call to reschedule – the weather often pulls through. If it is too wet and windy then we simply reschedule! We can’t control illness or the weather (unfortunately) but I factor contingency days into my calendar to allow for rescheduling. If you become unwell, I just ask that you contact me as soon as you can, and we’ll find an alternative date!

What if I don't like the way I look?

We’re all our own worst critics sometimes—but here’s the truth: you are never more beautiful than when you’re wrapped up in love with your people. That’s what I’m here to capture.

The little looks, the quiet joy, the way your kids reach for you without thinking—that’s the magic. You don’t need to worry about posing or angles or light (that’s my job). Your only job? Be present. Soak it all in. Enjoy the moment.

I promise, the images will speak for themselves.

When should I book my maternity session?

Maternity sessions are best done between 32-36 weeks of pregnancy so we don't book too close to your due date, but that you are far enough along to have a lovely round belly to show off!

When should I book my newborn session?

I only take on a limited number of newborn sessions each month, so it’s best to book in advance if possible. I’ll pencil in a session date based on your due date, but since babies don’t always arrive on schedule, you can simply reach out once your little one is here and we’ll confirm a time.

Newborns tend to be the sleepiest in the first two weeks, and I’ve found that the sweet spot for sessions is usually between 7–15 days old. This timing also works well as many partners are still on parental leave.

That said, every family is different! Sometimes it’s not possible to book within that window—and that’s absolutely okay. I’ve photographed babies much older than two weeks, and there’s truly no “wrong age” for beautiful photos. Lifestyle sessions are especially flexible, capturing those wide-awake eyes, baby stretches, and sweet family moments just as they unfold.

When your baby arrives, just send me a quick message and we’ll schedule your session from there.

What’s the difference between a studio newborn session and a lifestyle session at home?

Studio Newborn Session:

Focuses on classic, posed images of your baby

Uses props, wraps, and professional backdrops

Best for babies under 2 weeks old when they’re sleepiest, although I have photographed babies of all ages.

Controlled lighting for soft, timeless portraits

Parents and siblings can be included, but the spotlight is on the baby.

Lifestyle Session at Home:

Focuses on natural, candid family moments in your own space

No props or posing—just real interactions and connection

Perfect if you prefer a relaxed, story-driven approach

Baby can be awake or asleep; all those little details are captured beautifully

No need to leave the house—your home becomes the backdrop

No matter what type of session you choose, we will capture beautiful images of your new family member. After booking, I will send through a prep guide for whichever session you choose, to help guide you and what to expect.

What’s the difference between branding photography and headshots?

Headshots usually focus on just your face, giving you a polished portrait to use for LinkedIn, business cards, or a profile picture. Branding photography goes further—it tells the story of your brand, your values, your process, and even your personality. It’s about creating a visual experience that connects with your audience, not just showing them what you look like.

How should I prepare for a branding photoshoot?

Preparation makes all the difference! Think about the story you want your photos to tell. Bring along outfits that reflect your brand style, props or tools of your trade, and maybe even a few examples of your work. We’ll also talk about locations—whether that’s your workspace, outdoors, or in the studio—to capture the right vibe.

How often should I update my branding photos?

Ideally, you’ll want to refresh your photos every 1–2 years, or whenever your brand evolves. If you’ve changed your look, launched new services, or revamped your website, new photos will help keep everything consistent and relevant. Clients feel reassured when they see that your online presence matches who they’ll meet in person.

I feel awkward in front of the camera—can you help with that?

Absolutely. Most of my clients aren’t professional models! I’ll guide you with posing, movement, and prompts so your photos look natural, confident, and authentic.

Can I do the shoot at my office or workspace?

Definitely. Shooting in your real environment adds authenticity and helps clients see what it’s like to work with you.

Do you offer payment plans?

I ask for a non-refundable retainer, usually at least 25%, to secure your session date, and ensure I don't book anyone else on that time/date.

I then ask you to have the full balance paid before your session. So if you would prefer to split the payments over a few months, book in advance. If you would prefer a personal payment plan, please just ask!
