Te Puna Quarry Park Wedding | Lisa and Jaydee
Lisa and Jaydee chose the breathtaking Te Puna Quarry Park as the setting for their wedding day - an absolute hidden gem filled with lush gardens, seasonal blossoms, and endless scenic backdrops for wedding photography. This curated selection of images is taken from their final delivered gallery and offers a true-to-life example of what six hours of wedding photography coverage looks like.
I was lucky enough to photograph their engagement session a few months earlier, which remains one of my favourite shoots to date, and it was an honour to continue telling their story on such a meaningful day.
Bride and groom both spent the morning getting ready separately with their bridal party and groomsmen, and I was there to document those quiet, emotional moments as they unfolded. We then made our way to the ceremony site nestled amongst the blossoms at Te Puna Quarry Park. The bridal party arrived in unforgettable style - traveling between a vintage Ford 100E Prefect and two classic Ford Mustangs.
The ceremony itself was heartfelt and deeply meaningful, featuring a candlelight tribute in honour of lost loved ones. Vows were exchanged, documents signed, and a first kiss shared as husband and wife in front of their closest family and friends.
During moments like these, my approach as a wedding photographer is to blend into the background-capturing genuine emotion, fleeting glances, and meaningful connections without interrupting the flow of the day.
After the ceremony, guests were guided into family portraits (with the help of a pre-nominated legend-of-a-friend), before we slipped away for bridal party and newlywed portraits. I always encourage couples to take a few quiet minutes together just after portraits - as it’s often the only time you’ll be truly alone on your wedding day.
It was a stunning, hot spring day, filled with love, laughter, and the merging of two families. Congratulations, Lisa & Jaydee - thank you for trusting me to capture your story.
