My Philosophy
I believe photography is more than just taking beautiful pictures (although I do love that part!) —it’s about preserving the feeling from a moment in your lives.
How tightly those little arms hugged you, the infectious laughter echoing through your home, that spark in their eyes when they talk about what they love.
These are the details that fade too quickly from memory.
I do what I do because I know how precious this and every season is, and how important it is to slow down and hold onto it.
The Creative Fee
Otherwise known as your session fee
Think of the Creative Fee as an all-access pass to my knowledge, my favourite shoot locations, and more!
$150 (1-1.5 hours)
This non-refundable fee secures your booking and covers all the behind-the-scenes work: time, travel, and everything that goes into crafting a session that feels like you. From location scouting to session prep, I’m always on the lookout for the perfect backdrop—whether it's a hidden corner I’ve discovered or a dreamy spot you've seen in one of my past shoots. Let’s chat if something’s caught your eye!
For newborns and little ones, I always recommend in-home sessions—there’s something so special about capturing those early moments where you’re all most at ease. Or alternatively, we can arrange a session in my studio.
After our session, I’ll carefully edit and curate your gallery over the next 3–4 weeks. It’s a slow, intentional process where every image gets the attention it deserves—subtle, honest edits that feel timeless. And to top it off, you'll receive a complimentary 8×12" print with any order.
Once your Creative Fee is received, your booking is locked in—and the fun begins.

FAQ
IF WE PURCHASE THE "HEART AND HOME" PACKAGE (PRE PURCHASE), WHAT WOULD IT COST US TO UPGRADE?
The “Heart and Home” package includes the Creative Fee, so that means if you upgraded to the:
15 digital collection (5 extra images), you’d just need to pay an additional $390
or the All digital collection would be an additional $600.
(The digital collections dont include the Creative Fee).
If you wanted to upgrade to the:
Wall Print and Album package it would be an additional $1000,
or the Fine Art package would be an additional $2700.
WHAT IF MY PARTNER ISN'T KEEN ON A PHOTOSHOOT, HOW DO I PUT THEM AT EASE?
Think of it as less about having your photo taken, and more about spending an hour or so of uninterrupted time playing and exploring with your family. I am continuously told by families that they’re surprised by how at ease they felt during their session, and that they barely even noticed the camera. There is no posing, or smiling for the camera during my sessions, which keeps things casual, relaxed and most of all FUN!
WHAT HAPPENS IF WE HAVE TO CANCEL DUE TO ILLNESS OR WEATHER?
If the weather is overcast we will continue with the session, moody lighting can sometimes make for the best backdrop. In the event of wet weather, I’ll wait until the day of your session to make the call to reschedule – the weather often pulls through. If it is too wet and windy then we simply reschedule! We can’t control illness or the weather (unfortunately) but I factor contingency days into my calendar to allow for rescheduling. If you become unwell, I just ask that you contact me as soon as you can, and we’ll find an alternative date!
WHAT IF I DON'T LIKE THE WAY I LOOK?
We’re all our own worst critics sometimes—but here’s the truth: you are never more beautiful than when you’re wrapped up in love with your people. That’s what I’m here to capture.
The little looks, the quiet joy, the way your kids reach for you without thinking—that’s the magic. You don’t need to worry about posing or angles or light (that’s my job). Your only job? Be present. Soak it all in. Enjoy the moment.
I promise, the images will speak for themselves.
WHAT DO WE WEAR FOR OUR SESSION?
At the end of the day, it’s all about feeling comfortable and confident—and that starts with wearing something that feels like *you*.
In the lead-up to your session, I’ll share plenty of outfit inspiration, including a curated Pinterest board full of colours, tones, and textures that photograph beautifully. Neutrals are always a safe bet if you’re unsure—but don’t stress, I’ve got you.
For the ladies, I also have a client closet with a selection of gorgeous, photo-friendly pieces you're welcome to borrow.
We’ll work together to make sure you feel relaxed, radiant, and totally yourself.
WHAT IF MY KIDS DON'T SMILE FOR THE CAMERA?
Take a deep breath—this is so normal. Honestly, I haven’t met a kid yet I couldn’t win over (eventually!).
That said, I’m not here to force smiles. Some of my favourite images are the quiet, thoughtful ones—those serious little expressions are just as beautiful. The goal isn’t perfection—it’s connection. It’s about play, curiosity, and letting their little personalities shine through.
And trust me—by the end of the session, the giggles usually come all on their own.
